In Canada to celebrate the ICH Convention

canada_conference_may_2016 The International Conference will take place in Quebec City, 19-22 May 2016, in order to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the entry into force of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, gathering more than 170 speakers and about 32 NGO, from 17 different countries. The keynote speech will be addressed by Tim Curtis, Head of the ICH Section of UNESCO. The conference is organized jointly by the the Canadian Network for Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Folklore Studies Association of Canada, the Canadian Society for Traditional Music, with the support of the Canada Research Chair for Intangible Heritage and the Canadian Commission for UNESCO.
