Report on the Evaluation Body: the experience of Ahmed Skounti

Ahmed Skounti (Professor Department of Anthropology and Museology Institut national des sciences de l’archéologie et du patrimoine, Rabat, Morocco) presents a report with a Synthesis and Lessons learnt from his term and advisory function as expert on the Evaluation Body of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO (2015-2017). The Evaluation Body is composed of twelve members appointed by the Committee: six experts qualified in the various fields of the intangible cultural heritage representatives of States Parties non-Members of the Committee and six accredited non-governmental organizations, taking into consideration equitable geographical representation and various domains of intangible cultural heritage.
