On 15 May, the ICH NGO Forum held an online organizational and strategic reflection webinar dedicated to discussing the future development of the Forum and its activities. The meeting brought together representatives of accredited NGOs and was regarded by participants as an important and constructive opportunity to exchange ideas on the Forum’s future direction and priorities.
The webinar focused on strengthening the Forum’s organizational structure, improving cooperation among accredited organizations and ensuring that the Forum continues to respond effectively to current and future challenges in the field of intangible cultural heritage.
The recording of the webinar is now available on the Forum’s official YouTube channel, allowing all interested organizations and members to revisit the discussions and key proposals shared during the meeting: watch the recording.
Participants are also warmly encouraged to complete the following short survey, which will help guide the ongoing strategic development process of the Forum:

The organizational and strategic development work will continue during the Forum’s upcoming meeting in Paris in June.
“It is vital that the ICH NGO Forum keeps pace with the times and supports sustained development work. The Executive Board is highly encouraged by the strong interest that accredited organizations have shown in strategic development” says Chair Matti Hakamäki.
The webinar featured an intervention from Ms Fumiko Ohinata, Secretary of the UNESCO 2003 Convention, followed by a presentation on the origins and early development of the ICH NGO Forum by Jorijn Neyrinck. The session also included a presentation on the case for statutory reform by Alain Muneean, Secretary of the ICH NGO Forum.
