Embodying Reconciliation-Cuerpos para la Reconciliación, is a non-profit organization that works in five lines of action: peacebuilding, reconciliation through Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), corporalities, interculturality and memory. We are a specialized team that works in the areas of: dance anthropology, social anthropology, psychology, social communication and technological development. Since 2016, we are working with diverse population to facilitate process of personal and collective reconciliation, and contribute to peacebuilding.
We work from Colombia, but our methodologies have been implemented in some places of Latin-American and the world. Because Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) must be practiced and have meaning for a community, the work of protecting these cultural practices, is also the work of healing its individuals and its communities. We find in the body a very important ally, to trigger this healing, and at the same time, reinforced this cultural appropriation.
The Museum Bodies for Empathy, is the first project in Latin-American, to star using new technologies, such as: motion capture, video mappings, 360 exhibitions, podcasts and videos, that allow the dialogue of proposals, that speak about peace and safeguarding ICH practices.
