The ICH NGO Forum has been involved in the Culture 2030 Goal Campaign since 2023. As the campaign advances its aim of securing a stand-alone goal for culture in the post-Agenda 2030 framework, it is essential that the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage is fully recognized and meaningfully integrated into the process. A broad and inclusive understanding of culture — particularly the concept of intangible cultural heritage and its community-based approaches — is vital. These are areas in which many NGOs accredited under the 2003 Convention bring extensive experience and valuable perspectives.
In this webinar, participants will gain insights into the current state and direction of the Culture 2030 Goal Campaign, the upcoming Mondiacult 2025 conference in Barcelona, and the potential roles and opportunities for NGOs accredited under the 2003 Convention to contribute to these global cultural policy developments.
The seminar is open for all, but targeted especially for accredited NGOs.
Accredited NGOs are also encouraged to review and complete the survey on the topic available in English, French, Spanish and Arabic.
